When a high-tech scientist from Texas is kidnapped in Stockholm and taken into the Soviet Union, a summit between President Reagan and General Secretary Gorbachev hangs in the balance. To retrieve the scientist, the CIA brings back Eisenhower “Ike” Blass into the fold to rescue him and bring him back to the United States. With the stakes high, the KGB orders their agent, Natasha Yazova to befriend Blass and do whatever is necessary to save the summit. Almost immediately, the strong chemistry between the couple makes them vulnerable as they race against the clock, fighting off dissidents in their rescue attempt. Together, they battle forces in this cold-war drama unparalleled in U.S. and Soviet relations.
The Leningrad Affair An Ike Blass Novel Book 1 eBook Warren Terry
I have been a Ken Follett fan for years and The Leningrad Affair reminded me of his early works. The Russian names ran together in the beginning, but probably because I'm not used to hearing them. After a couple of chapters, that was no longer an issue. There were twists, turns, and some surprises at the end.
The action and the story flowed consistently throughout the book. Ike Blass is a believable and likeable character. I am looking forward to the next book and further adventures with Ike.

The Leningrad Affair An Ike Blass Novel Book 1 eBook Warren Terry Reviews
Warren Terry writes a novel that is perfect for excitement, intrigue, and mystery...with some good sex for interest. I recommend this book for anyone who like a good read.
An exciting novel filled with intrigue and mystery. And the ending------! Ike Blass is quite the character and will keep you in suspense as to what the next move will be. The descriptions of the settings used in this book are extremely well written. The reader feels like he is right there. This novel is quite an accomplishment for a first-time author. I can't wait to read the next one. Try this novel; it will certainly keep you entertained.
Can't wait for the next Ike Blass novel.
This spy novel's setting is the lead up to the first summit conference between President Reagan and Gorbachev. The CIA, KGB and other groups have reasons to either insure that the summit occurs, that the summit is cancelled, or have other agendas entirely, such as power and money. A thrilling story with an interesting look back to communist USSR.
Highly recommend.
Warren Terry has come up with a real page-turner. It is a thriller that grabs you on the first few pages and keeps you guessing until the last page. Ike Blass is a strong force in the cold war era drama between the United States and the Sovietes. I could not stop reading or put the book down until I had completed the book.
The Leningrad Affair is an excellent book. The story grabs you right from the beginning. The plot is intriguing, the characters well-rounded and very believable. I started this book late yesterday and read straight through, just couldn't put it down! If your soul yearns for adventure, maybe intrigue on a foreign soil, I highly recommend letting Warren Terry "take you away!"
Introduced in The Leningrad Affair, Ike Blass is an intriguing character with lots of savvy, wit and intelligence. The twists and turns that author Warren Terry leads him through make The Leningrad Affair a page turner. The realistic settings allow the reader to picture himself in the novel. In the beginning the Russian names were confusing until everything clicked and then it was almost like reading Tom, Dick or Harry. A surprising ending and a great first book for Terry. I am awaiting Ike Blass' return.
